Aladdin
Following on from “Jack And The Beanstalk” (1998) and “Cinderella” (1999), in 2000, ITV commissioned another Christmas pantomime from writer Simon Nye - “Aladdin” - which was then produced by London Weekend Television. With an all-star cast including Griff Rhys Jones, Martin Clunes & Patsy Kensit, the show was recorded at The Wimbledon Theatre over two days and the best takes cut together for the TV version.
The same method was used for the 2001 Pantomime, “Dick Whittington”, which was a full-blooded Pozzitive production.
